North East MS Therapy Centre
Oasis in the North East for people living with MS
September 26th 2008 marked the re-launch of the MS Therapy Centre, Trim, Co Meath. The centre was re-launched by Mr. Sean Boylan and centre director Mr. Shane Mc Entee, TD, welcomed the crowd of over seventy people who witnessed this proud event. The centre now known as the North East MS Therapy Centre first opened its doors in September 1988. The centre has provided physiotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, counseling and peer support to people living with MS, in a friendly and caring environment for the past two decades.
Following a major facelift, the centre intends to continue providing these and additional services to those living with MS in the North East. Additional services like reflexology, acupuncture, massage and chiropody. These services will continue to be provided free of charge even though, the centre is not in receipt of any state funding. Donations and fundraising by the committee and the people attending the centre pay the bills. Important as the services are, the social aspect of the centre (the cup of tea!) where users and carers can share knowledge, experiences and just as importantly a juicy piece of gossip are central to the success of the centre.
For further information on the Centre or to make an appointment contact Angela at 046-9436474 or Bernie by e-mail at berniemc100@eircom.net

What Concern does
